Manual receipt reconciliation was creating recurring friction—a distraction from high-value work. While off-the-shelf tools like Expensify solve the immediate data entry problem, they introduce 'SaaS Sprawl': requiring expensive, rigid integrations with accounting software to function correctly. We refused to solve a process problem by simply buying more subscriptions.

The Build

We engineered a custom AI orchestration agent using Python and Meta’s Llama 3.2. Architected as a standalone microservice, the agent performs semantic mapping against the historical general ledger to infer correct coding.

This decoupled architecture allows the system to integrate with a multitude of well-known accounting platforms, while a strict 95% confidence gate ensures that edge cases are routed to a human expert—never a black box.
